Hello!

I research digital medicine.

I am driven by the question of how digital tools can make healthcare genuinely better, rather than merely more digital.

Much of my work centres on the question of how clinical data can be harmonised and linked in meaningful ways, on user requirements for mHealth applications and electronic health records, and on how user feedback can lead to better digital health applications.

About

I am a research associate at the Institute of Medical Informatics and Artificial Intelligence of the University Medical Center Schleswig-Holstein and a doctoral candidate at Kiel University (Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel). My research focuses on requirements engineering in medical informatics.

These topics range from user requirements for mHealth solutions for digital therapeutics (DTx) and electronic health records to the question of how heterogeneous clinical data can be harmonised and prepared in a semantically interoperable way, so that they become usable for analytical and AI-based methods.

In research projects funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMFTR) such as ACRIBiS, HiGHmed and NEMO, I am responsible for IT project management from the proposal phase through operational delivery to the final report.
